Accor's Novotel Opens in Kumarhatti, Solan – First Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

The French hospitality group Accor has formalised a deal to develop a Novotel property in Kumarhatti, a town near Solan in Himachal Pradesh. The agreement signals Accor’s first foray into the northern hill state, expanding its presence beyond the traditional metro markets.

The upcoming hotel will operate under the Novotel brand, which caters to both business and leisure travellers with mid‑scale amenities. While the exact opening date has not been disclosed, the project is expected to boost tourism infrastructure in the region and create employment opportunities for local residents.

Industry observers note that Accor’s entry could encourage further investment in Himachal’s hospitality sector, complementing the state’s growing popularity as a weekend getaway for tourists from Delhi and Chandigarh.
