An ACB investigation in Pali uncovered a demand of Rs 50,000 from candidate Bhuraram for a disability certificate exceeding 40% disability, implicating a doctor and a contract employee.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Rajasthan has filed a case after uncovering a bribery attempt linked to the issuance of a disability certificate. According to the investigation, Bhuraram, a candidate selected under the disability quota in the fourth‑category recruitment for 2024, was asked to pay Rs 50,000 to obtain a certificate indicating more than 40% disability.

The demand was allegedly made by a medical doctor and a contract employee who were responsible for verifying and issuing the certificate. Both officials are accused of colluding to facilitate the fraudulent certification in exchange for the payment.

The ACB’s filing cites violations of the Prevention of Corruption Act and relevant recruitment rules. The case is being pursued in the Pali district court, and the authorities have indicated that further action will be taken against any additional individuals found to be involved.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns about corruption in the recruitment process for reserved categories and underscores the need for stricter oversight of disability certifications.

No arrests have been reported yet, and the investigation remains active as the ACB continues to gather evidence.
