Student wing ABVP staged a protest today against the screening of a documentary on Khalid at the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a demonstration outside the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) in Bengaluru on Thursday, objecting to a scheduled screening of a documentary about Khalid. Protesters gathered near the campus entrance shortly after the screening was set to begin, holding placards and chanting slogans.

ABVP members said the film could inflame communal sensitivities and argued that it was inappropriate for an academic institution to host such content without prior clearance. They demanded that the screening be cancelled and called for the university to seek permission from relevant authorities before showing politically charged material.

NLSIU officials confirmed that the documentary was part of a student‑organized cultural event but declined to comment on the content. Campus security escorted the protesters away without any arrests, and the screening was postponed pending further review.

The incident underscores ongoing tensions between student political groups and university administrations over the handling of controversial subjects on campus.
