The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad secured a decisive win in the Panjab University elections, a development that could influence the political landscape ahead of the 2027 Punjab polls.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) emerged victorious in the recent elections at Panjab University, marking a significant milestone for the student wing of the BJP.
The win, achieved across multiple student bodies, underscores ABVP’s growing influence on campus politics and reflects a broader trend of increasing student engagement with national parties.
Political analysts suggest that the victory could serve as a springboard for the BJP and its allies as they prepare for the 2027 Punjab state elections, offering a platform to mobilise young voters.
While the exact vote margins remain undisclosed, the outcome is seen as a morale booster for ABVP cadres and a signal to opposition parties of the need to strengthen their outreach to university students.
