The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) emerged as the winner in student union elections at both BJB College and Rajdhani College in Bhubaneswar, according to Pragativadi.
The student union polls at Biju Patnaik (BJB) College and Rajdhani College in Bhubaneswar concluded with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) securing a majority of the contested seats. The elections, conducted under the guidelines of the respective college bodies, saw candidates from various student groups vie for representation.
ABVP’s victory marks a notable shift in campus politics, reflecting the organization’s growing influence among the student electorate in Odisha’s capital. Observers note that the outcome could shape student activism and policy discussions within the institutions.
The results were reported by the regional daily Pragativadi, which confirmed the win without providing detailed vote counts. Both colleges are expected to convene their newly elected student councils in the coming days to outline agendas for the academic year.
