UIDAI has launched an online portal allowing Aadhaar holders to update their address, mobile number and email address without visiting an Aadhaar enrollment center.
UIDAI has rolled out a new online portal that lets Aadhaar holders update their address, mobile number and email address without the need to visit an enrollment centre.
The portal, accessible via the UIDAI website, requires users to log in with their Aadhaar number and verify their identity using an OTP sent to their registered mobile. Once logged in, users can edit the address, mobile number and email fields and submit the changes for verification.
Only holders with a valid Aadhaar and no pending updates are eligible to use the service. The updated details are processed within a few days and reflected in the official Aadhaar database.
The move is expected to cut down queues at enrollment centres and streamline the process of keeping Aadhaar information current for millions of Indians.
