A nine‑year‑old girl from Karnataka has completed a remarkable feat by recording 65 Kannada songs and posting each performance on the internet. The young talent, whose name has not been disclosed for privacy, began the project earlier this year and has steadily uploaded the videos to popular platforms such as YouTube and Instagram.
The collection spans a variety of genres, from traditional folk melodies to contemporary film tracks, showcasing the child’s versatility and deep familiarity with the regional language. Viewers have responded with admiration, and the videos have amassed thousands of likes and comments praising her vocal ability and dedication.
Parents say the initiative started as a way to keep their daughter engaged during school holidays, and they have been supportive of her musical pursuits. Cultural observers note that such grassroots efforts help preserve and promote Kannada music among younger generations.
With the growing online traction, the girl’s family is considering formal music training to further hone her skills, while also hoping the project encourages other children to explore regional art forms.
