The Election Commission of India reported that 88 of the 97 voters omitted from the Goa electoral roll have been restored, while three were identified as Portuguese citizens and remain ineligible.

The Election Commission of India said that a recent verification of Goa's electoral roll resulted in 88 of the 97 voters who had been left out being added back to the list. The commission explained that the remaining three names belong to individuals holding Portuguese citizenship, which disqualifies them from voting under Indian law. This update comes ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections, prompting the EC to intensify its efforts to ensure the roll accurately reflects all eligible residents. Voters are urged to check their registration status on the official portal and report any discrepancies promptly.
