The district authorities in Jalandhar have distributed ration depot allocation letters to 72 beneficiaries. The letters certify each recipient’s entitlement to procure subsidised food grains from the public distribution system.
The allocation is part of the government's effort to ensure food security for eligible households under the National Food Security Act. Recipients can now collect their allotted quantities of wheat, rice and other staples from designated fair‑price shops.
