351 Buses in 7 MP Cities to Start Sugam Parivahan Service; CM Yadav, Gadkari Flag Off

Madhya Pradesh will launch the Sugam Parivahan accessible transport service on Friday, with 351 buses across seven cities. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will flag off the fleet.
The Madhya Pradesh government is set to revive its accessible public‑transport scheme after a 21‑year hiatus. Starting Friday, the Sugam Parivahan service will operate a fleet of 351 buses covering seven major cities in the state.
The inauguration will be led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav alongside Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, who will jointly hoist the green flag to mark the commencement of operations.
Designed to provide barrier‑free travel for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, the service is part of the state’s broader effort to improve inclusive mobility.
Officials said the buses are equipped with low‑floor designs, ramps and designated seating to meet accessibility standards. The rollout is expected to enhance connectivity across the selected urban centres and set a precedent for similar initiatives nationwide.
