A 35‑year‑old man named Dev Singh disappeared after jumping into the Bamara River while bathing in Mauhari village, Anupur. His family alerted police, prompting the SDRF and Home Guard to commence a search.
On Saturday afternoon, 35‑year‑old Dev Singh entered the waters of the Bamara River in Mauhari village, located in the Rajendra Gram police‑station area of Anupur, Madhya Pradesh, while taking a bath. According to reports, he leapt into the river and was not seen emerging from the water.
Family members quickly realized he was missing and reported the incident to the local police station. The police recorded the complaint and immediately notified the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the Home Guard unit stationed nearby.
Both the SDRF and Home Guard teams arrived at the riverbank within minutes and began a coordinated search operation, deploying rescue equipment and personnel along the river stretch. As of now, the teams continue to scour the area, but Dev Singh has not been located.
Authorities have urged residents to avoid the river until the rescue operation concludes and have asked anyone with information to contact the police. The situation remains under active monitoring.
