Amritsar district officials have allocated ₹2.8 million to support 80 families in Gurdaaspur affected by recent floods.
The Amritsar district administration announced the disbursement of a total of ₹2.8 million to 80 families in the village of Gurdaaspur that were hit by recent flooding. The relief package is part of the state’s disaster response fund and is intended to help the affected households rebuild homes and replace lost belongings.
Local officials oversaw the distribution, ensuring that each eligible family received its share of the assistance. The flood, which struck the area after heavy monsoon rains, caused waterlogging and damage to agricultural fields and residential structures.
Authorities said the aid will be monitored to ensure it reaches the intended beneficiaries and urged residents to cooperate with relief teams for a swift recovery.
