27 Children Fall Ill After Mid‑Day Meal at Govt School in Kota, 4‑5 Hospitalised

Twenty‑seven pupils at Poonia Deoria Government School in Kota reported vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain after eating the mid‑day meal, with about a dozen taken to hospitals and four to five admitted.
In Kota, Rajasthan, 27 children attending Poonia Deoria Government School became unwell after consuming the school’s mid‑day meal. The affected students complained of vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain and dizziness.
Health officials recorded that 14 of the children were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, while four to five remain admitted for observation and care. The remaining students received basic medical attention at the school and were later sent home.
