Shikhar Mohan, a 21‑year‑old cricketer, opened up about the influence of his father's unfulfilled cricket ambitions on his own career outlook. He said his father, once a passionate club‑level player, never got the chance to play at higher levels, a disappointment that shaped the family's relationship with the sport.
Mohan explained that he views his own cricket journey as a long game, focusing on steady development rather than quick fame. He highlighted the importance of patience, rigorous training, and learning from senior players to build a sustainable career.
Looking ahead, the young batsman aims to cement his place in domestic circuits and eventually earn a spot in the national squad, hoping to fulfil the dream his father could not realize.
