Over 21 lakh parents gathered for a large‑scale Parent‑Teacher Meeting across 19,200 government schools in Punjab, marking the largest such event in the state’s recent history.
The Punjab Education Department organized a mega Parent‑Teacher Meeting (PTM) that saw more than 21 lakh parents attend sessions in 19,200 government schools across the state.
The event was scheduled to run over several days, with teachers and administrators meeting parents to discuss student progress, school facilities and upcoming academic plans. Officials said the turnout was the highest ever for a PTM in Punjab.
Parents from rural and urban areas alike travelled to schools to voice concerns and receive updates on their children’s performance. The large attendance highlighted the growing emphasis on parental involvement in education.
The state ministry praised the success of the initiative and announced plans to continue such large‑scale PTMs in future academic years to strengthen school‑home collaboration.
