The 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala will run from September 25 to 30 in Thiruvananthapuram, showcasing global and regional short films.
The 18th edition of the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) is set to take place from September 25 to 30 in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram. The festival, which has become a prominent platform for documentary and short‑film makers worldwide, will feature a curated selection of films that explore social, cultural and environmental themes.
Since its inception in 2006, IDSFFK has attracted filmmakers and audiences from across India and abroad. The 2024 program promises a mix of international entries and regional productions, with a focus on emerging talent and innovative storytelling techniques.
In addition to screenings, the festival will host workshops, panel discussions and a competitive awards segment. The jury, comprising industry professionals and academics, will evaluate entries in categories such as Best Documentary, Best Short Film and Best Debut Director.
The event will be held at the Kerala State Film Development Corporation auditorium and other venues across the city. Tickets are available online, and the festival is open to the general public, film students and industry insiders alike.
