Earlier this week, a group of 18 members of Parliament arrived in Patna to explore two of the state’s premier cultural institutions – the Bihar Museum and the Khuda Baksh Library. The officials were given a guided tour that highlighted the museum’s extensive collections of ancient artefacts, sculptures and paintings that trace Bihar’s history back several millennia.

Renowned author Sudha Murty, who accompanied the delegation, urged the legislators to allocate more time for such cultural excursions, suggesting a stay of “two to three days” to fully appreciate the wealth of knowledge and artifacts on display.
