The nomination process for the 2026 urban local body elections in Rajasthan’s Sirohi district began with 17 applications submitted, led by Aburoad municipality with seven filings.
The filing window for candidates contesting the 2026 urban local body elections in Sirohi district, Rajasthan, opened this week. On the inaugural day, election officials received a total of 17 nomination papers across the district's municipalities and town councils.
The highest number of applications came from Aburoad municipality, where seven candidates submitted their forms. Shivganj followed with five nominations, while the Sirohi Nagar Parishad recorded four filings. The hill‑station of Mount Abu contributed a single nomination.
Election authorities have confirmed that all submissions meet the statutory eligibility criteria and will be scrutinised in the coming days. The results of the scrutiny will determine the final list of candidates who will contest the upcoming polls, scheduled later this year.
