Seventeen Haj operators in Jammu and Kashmir have received clearance for the 2027 pilgrimage, while the allocation of pilgrim quotas is still awaited.
The Ministry of Minority Affairs has officially cleared 17 Haj operators in Jammu and Kashmir to conduct pilgrimages for the 2027 Hajj season. This clearance confirms that the operators satisfy all regulatory and security requirements set by the central government.
Despite the clearance, the precise number of pilgrim quotas that each operator can sell has not yet been announced. Officials said the final quota allocation will be communicated after inter‑ministerial consultations and will depend on the overall national Hajj quota for 2027.
The operators, who handle travel, accommodation and visa arrangements for pilgrims from the valley, have been awaiting the quota decision to open bookings. They have urged prospective pilgrims to stay tuned to official notifications and to avoid unverified agents.
Government sources indicated that the quota announcement is expected in the coming weeks, after which the operators will begin the registration and ticketing process in accordance with the Ministry’s guidelines.
