Police have opened a case after a 16‑year‑old student was allegedly gang‑raped on a bus traveling 47 km.
A 16‑year‑old schoolgirl was reportedly subjected to a gang‑rape while travelling on a public bus that covered a distance of 47 kilometres. The incident came to light after the victim managed to reach a police outpost and file a complaint.
Delhi police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and launched a criminal investigation. Officers have begun canvassing the route, reviewing any available CCTV footage, and questioning passengers and the bus driver to identify the accused.
