132 kV Along‑Kambang Transmission Line Energised in West Siang, Arunachal Pradesh

The power utility DCM announced that the 132 kV Along‑Kambang transmission line has been fully energized in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The line, spanning several kilometres, links the remote town of Along with the Kambang sub‑station, strengthening the state's electricity grid. Officials said the commissioning will improve supply reliability for households and industries in the district. DCM described the project as a strategic investment aimed at supporting West Siang's economic development and reducing power shortages. The new line is expected to facilitate future growth in agriculture, tourism and small‑scale manufacturing in the region.
