Police in Gwalior have completed the final stage of action against 13 Bangladeshi citizens who were staying illegally, and the process to send them back to Bangladesh has begun.

Gwalior police arrested 13 Bangladeshi nationals on August 3 from various locations across the city after a probe into illegal residency. The detainees were found to be staying in the city without valid documentation, prompting a swift law‑enforcement response.

Following the arrests, the authorities have moved to the concluding phase of the case, initiating procedures to repatriate the individuals to Bangladesh. Coordination with immigration officials and the Bangladeshi High Commission is underway to ensure a lawful and orderly return.

The police statement emphasized that the operation was part of a broader effort to curb illegal immigration and protect local security. No further arrests have been reported, and the case is expected to close once the repatriation is completed.

Local residents were briefed on the development, and officials assured that the city’s law‑and‑order situation remains stable. The repatriation timeline will be communicated by the relevant authorities as it progresses.
