The 108 ambulance network will remain fully functional throughout Diwali, deploying 1,500 ambulances and 6,000 personnel to handle emergencies.

The 108 ambulance service has confirmed that it will continue to operate during the Diwali holiday period. To ensure prompt medical response, the service has mobilised 1,500 ambulances across the country. In addition, 6,000 staff members, including paramedics and drivers, have been assigned to support the operation.

The deployment is aimed at managing the expected rise in accidents and medical emergencies that often accompany the festive season. The 108 network will maintain its 24‑hour call centre and dispatch system, allowing citizens to reach emergency services without delay.

Health officials have urged the public to exercise caution during celebrations and to use the 108 service for any urgent medical needs. The service’s continued availability is part of a broader effort to keep emergency care accessible during peak holiday periods.
