A 10‑year‑old boy was allegedly kidnapped, tied to a tree and beaten for about 12 hours in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, before escaping and reaching his grandmother’s home.
According to a complaint lodged at the Kant police station in Guna, a ten‑year‑old boy was taken from his home under the pretext of a routine outing. He was allegedly forced onto a wooden cart, taken to the nearby Haddi Mil forest, and tied to a tree where he was repeatedly beaten.
The boy remained bound for roughly twelve hours, during which he endured physical assault. He eventually managed to cut the rope, fled the site and made his way to his grandmother’s residence, where he reported the incident.
The child’s relatives filed a formal FIR, prompting local authorities to open an investigation into the alleged kidnapping, assault and unlawful confinement. Police have been directed to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
Child‑protection groups have highlighted the case as a reminder of the need for heightened vigilance and rapid response mechanisms in rural Madhya Pradesh, where such incidents, though rare, can have severe repercussions for community safety.
