The education board has announced a new skill subject that will allow Class X students to retake or improve their board results.
The national education board announced the addition of a skill‑based subject to the Class X curriculum, aimed at providing students with an extra opportunity to enhance their board performance.
The initiative is positioned as a remedial option for those who wish to improve scores after the primary examination cycle.
Under the new provision, eligible Class X candidates can enroll in the skill subject and appear for a separate assessment that will be counted alongside their regular results.
Board officials indicated that the move seeks to broaden learning outcomes and reduce the pressure of a single high‑stakes exam, while aligning with skill‑development goals promoted by the government.
