Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu opened several infrastructure initiatives in Himachal Pradesh, laying foundation stones for schemes totalling Rs 60.67 crore.

New Delhi – The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, presided over a ceremony in the state’s capital where he inaugurated a series of development projects. The initiatives, spanning sectors such as road improvement, rural electrification and school infrastructure, have a combined outlay of Rs 60.67 crore.

During the event, the CM laid foundation stones for each scheme, signalling the government’s commitment to accelerate growth in remote districts. Officials said the projects are slated to begin within the next quarter and are expected to generate employment for local labour.

State authorities highlighted that the funding will be drawn from both the state budget and central assistance, aiming to bridge infrastructure gaps and improve public services. The inauguration marks a key milestone in the administration’s five‑year development plan.

The ceremony was attended by senior ministers, district officials and community leaders, who expressed optimism about the positive impact on livelihoods and connectivity across the hilly region.
