Guest teachers in Haryana will stage a statewide protest on November 15, marking a ‘Black Diwali’ to highlight their grievances.
The Education Department of Haryana has received notice that guest teachers across the state will observe a symbolic "Black Diwali" on 15 November. The teachers plan to stage a coordinated, state‑wide protest to draw attention to issues they face in their employment conditions.
Organisers describe the event as a peaceful demonstration, intending to gather at designated education offices and schools throughout Haryana. By choosing the term "Black Diwali," they aim to underscore the contrast between the festival of lights and the challenges confronting temporary teaching staff.
Authorities have been informed of the date and the nature of the protest, and officials are expected to monitor the situation to ensure public order while allowing the teachers to voice their concerns.
