The Bicholim Farming Producer Organization is looking to bring German agricultural expertise to help restore 1,200 hectares of unused land in Goa.
The Bicholim Farming Producer Organization (FPO), based in the town of Bicholim in Goa, has announced plans to collaborate with German agricultural experts to revitalize 1,200 hectares of fallow land in the region.
The land has remained unused for several years, limiting the area’s agricultural output. By importing German techniques in soil management, irrigation, and crop selection, the FPO hopes to improve soil health and increase productivity.
The organization intends to partner with German universities or agricultural agencies to transfer knowledge and technology. If successful, the initiative could boost the local economy and serve as a model for similar projects across India.
