Assam Agricultural University (AAU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Potato Center (CIP) to enhance research and production of potatoes in the region.
Today, the Vice‑Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University (AAU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Potato Center (CIP) in Dibrugarh.
The MoU aims to strengthen potato research, improve crop varieties and increase yields through joint studies and technology transfer.
Under the agreement, CIP will provide technical expertise, training and access to global germplasm, while AAU will facilitate field trials and local dissemination of findings.
The partnership is expected to boost potato production, enhance farmer incomes and support Assam’s agricultural economy.
