The Kannada blockbuster 'Toxic' starring Yash crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in India on its fifth day, a notable feat as overall box‑office collections have been declining.
Yash’s latest Kannada release, "Toxic," recorded a cumulative domestic gross of over Rs 200 crore on its fifth day of release, according to NDTV. The milestone places the film among a select group of regional movies that have breached the two‑hundred‑crore threshold in a short span.
The achievement comes at a time when the Indian box‑office has been experiencing a broader slowdown, with several recent releases struggling to maintain strong footfalls. "Toxic" defied this trend, drawing sizable audiences across major metros and tier‑2 cities, which helped sustain its rapid earnings.
Industry analysts note that the film’s performance underscores the star power of Yash and the growing appetite for high‑budget Kannada productions. If the current trajectory holds, "Toxic" could further consolidate its position as one of the year’s biggest commercial successes.
