The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is considering revising the schedule for the 2027 Madhyamik examinations as census field operations are expected to clash with the planned dates.
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has indicated that it may alter the timetable for the 2027 Madhyamik (Class 10) examinations. The proposed change is linked to the extensive field operations scheduled for the national census, which are expected to overlap with the current exam calendar.
Officials from the board have not released a definitive new date, but they have warned schools and students to stay alert for further announcements. The potential shift aims to avoid logistical conflicts and ensure that examination centres are not compromised by census activities.
Stakeholders, including schools and parents, are advised to monitor official communications from WBBSE for updates. Any revision will be communicated through the board’s website and standard notification channels.
The board’s tentative move reflects a broader effort to synchronize major governmental activities with the academic schedule, minimizing disruption for millions of students across West Bengal.
