The Tamil Nadu government has introduced a 5-year age relaxation for Group I and Group II civil service positions, with revised category‑wise limits.
The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu announced a new policy that relaxes the age limit for government jobs by five years. The change applies to both Group I and Group II civil service positions.
Under the revised scheme, the age limits are adjusted on a category basis. General category candidates will see an increase of five years, while candidates from reserved categories will receive similar adjustments as per the new guidelines.
