The Rajasthan BJP staged a protest in Jaipur aimed at surrounding the Congress, but the event attracted few participants, prompting criticism of the party's mobilisation.
The Rajasthan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party organised a street rally in Jaipur with the stated aim of surrounding the Congress party. Organisers expected a sizable crowd to demonstrate the BJP's strength in the state. However, the rally drew only a handful of participants, and the streets remained largely empty.
The low turnout sparked immediate criticism on social media, with observers questioning the party's organisational capacity ahead of upcoming state elections. Delhi officials also weighed in, urging the BJP to respond to queries about the purpose and planning of the demonstration.
Political analysts noted that the sparse attendance could reflect waning enthusiasm among BJP cadres in Rajasthan, a state where the party is seeking to consolidate its position against a resilient Congress opposition. The episode underscores the challenges political parties face in mobilising grassroots support in a highly competitive electoral environment.
