New Delhi will host the Swachh Survey national awards ceremony on 11 November, where President Droupadi Murmu is slated to present the accolades. The event will honor nine cities for their performance in the latest cleanliness survey, with Indore of Madhya Pradesh named among the top performers.
Indore’s inclusion reflects its sustained efforts in waste management, solid‑waste segregation and citizen participation, factors that contributed to its high ranking. The other eight cities, drawn from various states, will also receive the national recognition for meeting the survey’s stringent criteria.
The ceremony underscores the central government’s push to promote hygiene and sustainable urban practices across the country. Officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, along with local municipal representatives, will attend the event to highlight best‑practice models for other towns and cities.
