Police in Ludhiana used a bulldozer to raze an illegal structure linked to a suspected drug trafficker, citing violation of building regulations.
Ludhiana police officials carried out a demolition operation on an illegal building that authorities say was owned by a suspected drug trafficker. The structure, which had been erected without proper permits, was targeted after a series of investigations into narcotics-related activities in the area.
A heavy-duty bulldozer was deployed to bring down the building, and the operation was overseen by senior law‑enforcement officers to ensure safety and compliance with legal procedures.
Local residents reported hearing the machinery early in the morning and observed the demolition site being cordoned off by police. The authorities emphasized that the action is part of a broader effort to curb illicit drug networks and enforce building codes in the city.
No injuries were reported, and the police have begun collecting evidence from the site for further investigation into the alleged drug‑trafficking operations associated with the property.
