The Indian Meteorological Department has issued heavy rain alerts and a thunderstorm warning for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced heavy rain alerts for several districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, citing an incoming low‑pressure system expected to bring intense rainfall.
In addition to the rain alerts, the IMD has issued a thunderstorm warning for the same regions, advising residents to stay indoors and avoid open areas until the weather subsides.
Officials urge people in affected districts to prepare for potential flooding, keep emergency supplies ready, and follow local authorities’ instructions. The alerts remain in effect until the system moves out of the area later this week.
