The India Meteorological Department says most of the country will experience above‑normal temperatures in November, with no typical winter chill, while Cyclone Arnab is expected to have little impact.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued its seasonal outlook for November, projecting above‑normal temperatures across a large part of the country, from the northern plains to the western and eastern regions and parts of the south.
The agency noted that the temperature anomaly will be modest, with mercury expected to run a few degrees higher than the climatological norm, effectively eliminating the usual winter chill that many regions anticipate.
At the same time, IMD assessed Cyclone Arnab, currently situated in the Bay of Bengal, as a weak system that is unlikely to produce significant weather disturbances on the Indian mainland.
Officials advised the public to stay hydrated and take standard heat‑related precautions even though the warm spell is arriving earlier than usual.
