Daytime temperatures have fallen sharply across Madhya Pradesh while nighttime lows remain above normal, as the state enters a mixed rain‑and‑cold spell in early November.
The Indian Meteorological Department reports that the early days of November have brought a noticeable shift in weather across Madhya Pradesh. Several districts are witnessing a rapid decline in daytime temperatures, attributed to cold winds sweeping the region.
At the same time, nighttime temperatures have not fallen as much, staying above the typical seasonal norm. This contrast has created a scenario where residents experience cool afternoons but relatively warm evenings.
Meteorologists attribute the pattern to a combination of lingering monsoon moisture and an influx of colder air from the north. The mixed conditions are expected to persist for the next four days, with isolated showers possible in some areas.
Authorities advise the public to dress in layers and stay updated on local forecasts, especially in regions prone to sudden temperature swings.
