Gujarat Launches First Natural Farming Produce Kiosk in Valsad

The Gujarat government has inaugurated the first natural farming produce kiosk in Valsad, marking the start of a plan to set up ten such kiosks across the district. The initiative is part of the state’s effort to promote organic and natural farming practices and provide farmers with a direct channel to sell their produce. The kiosk, located in the heart of Valsad, will allow consumers to purchase fresh, pesticide‑free produce directly from local growers.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar presided over the opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of sustainable agriculture and the role of kiosks in reducing middlemen costs. The government expects the kiosks to increase farmers’ incomes and encourage more farmers to adopt natural farming methods.

The first kiosk is expected to serve as a model for the remaining nine, which will be established in other key locations within the district over the coming months. The project aims to create a more transparent supply chain and improve market access for small‑scale farmers.

The state’s agriculture department will monitor the kiosks’ performance and gather feedback to refine the model before expanding it to other districts.
