Golfers Association protests Washington Marak’s exclusion from IIM Shillong event

The Golfers Association publicly objected to the decision to bar Washington Marak from taking part in an event organized by the Indian Institute of Management Shillong. In a statement released to the media, the association described the exclusion as arbitrary and contrary to the spirit of inclusive sportsmanship. It urged the institute’s administration to reconsider the decision and allow Marak to participate in future IIM Shillong activities. The protest underscores growing tensions between sports bodies and academic institutions over event participation criteria. No further details on the event’s agenda or the reasons for Marak’s exclusion have been disclosed.
