The Goa education department has completed digitisation of National Education Policy textbooks for grades I to VIII and uploaded them on the DIKSHA portal.
The state of Goa announced that all National Education Policy (NEP) textbooks for primary and upper‑primary classes (grades I‑VIII) have been converted into digital format. The digitised versions are now accessible through the DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) platform, enabling teachers and students to download or view the material online.
The initiative aligns with the central government's push for digital learning resources and aims to improve accessibility, especially in remote schools where physical copies may be scarce. Officials said the process involved scanning, formatting, and uploading the textbooks while ensuring compliance with NEP guidelines.
Education officials expect the move to streamline lesson planning and support blended learning models across Goa's schools. The digitised textbooks will be regularly updated to reflect any curriculum changes, and training sessions for teachers on using DIKSHA are planned for the upcoming months.
