From Class 1 to Class 5, schools in Delhi‑NCR have shifted to a hybrid teaching model as the government’s GRAP Stage 3 comes into effect.
The Delhi government announced that all schools in the National Capital Region offering education up to Class 5 will operate in a hybrid mode starting this week. The shift aligns with the third stage of the Government Response and Action Plan (GRAP), which mandates reduced classroom density to curb the spread of COVID‑19.
Under the hybrid arrangement, students will attend physical classes on alternate days while continuing lessons online on off‑days. The education department has issued detailed guidelines on attendance, sanitation and digital platform usage to ensure continuity of learning.
School authorities in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and surrounding districts are coordinating with teachers and parents to implement the new schedule. The move aims to balance public health concerns with the need for in‑person instruction for younger children.
Parents have been advised to monitor their children’s health daily and report any symptoms to school officials. The hybrid model will remain in place until the government revises GRAP guidelines based on the evolving pandemic situation.
