Four individuals, including Dholaram from Ranivada in Jalore district, have surrendered in connection with a fake Taekwondo certificate used to secure sports‑quota positions in the 2022 third‑category teacher recruitment.
The Rajasthan government has reported that four suspects, among them a resident of Ranivada area in Jalore district named Dholaram, turned themselves in to authorities over a fraudulent Taekwondo certificate scheme. The counterfeit document was allegedly used to claim sports‑quota seats in the third‑category teacher recruitment for 2022.
Investigations revealed that the accused had fabricated the certificate to collect a sum of four lakh rupees from aspirants seeking the sports quota. The scheme targeted candidates applying for teaching positions across the state, exploiting the reservation provisions for athletes.
Police officials said the surrender was part of a broader crackdown on irregularities in the recruitment process. The investigation remains ongoing, and further legal action will be taken against anyone found complicit in the fraud.
The incident underscores persistent challenges in ensuring transparency in government hiring, especially in sectors where reservation benefits are available.
Authorities have urged genuine applicants to verify the authenticity of any documents related to sports qualifications before submission, to prevent similar scams in future.
