During the counting of the Darbhanga graduate council election, a dispute over ballot validity erupted, leading police to detain five counting agents. RJD candidate Anil Kumar Jha accused the administration of pressurising the outcome.

The counting of votes for the Darbhanga graduate council election turned chaotic when agents from the BJP and RJD confronted each other over the authenticity of several ballot papers. The disagreement unfolded inside the designated counting hall, halting the tallying process temporarily.

Police intervened to restore order and subsequently placed five counting agents in custody. The detained individuals were identified as agents involved in the dispute, though details of the specific charges were not disclosed.

RJD candidate Anil Kumar Jha publicly alleged that the state administration was exerting pressure to influence the result in favor of the ruling party. He questioned the integrity of the counting procedure and demanded a transparent review of the disputed ballots.

Election officials have yet to comment on the incident, and the counting is expected to resume once the matter is resolved, with the final outcome pending further verification.
