ED raids four locations tied to Bihar education officer over disproportionate assets

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out coordinated raids on four separate locations that are alleged to be connected to an officer of Bihar's education department. The operation was part of a probe into the officer's alleged accumulation of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Officials said the raids were conducted under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The officer, whose name has not been disclosed, is suspected of amassing wealth that exceeds his salary and legitimate earnings. Investigators are examining financial records, property documents and bank statements to establish the extent of the irregularities.
