Divine Ash Aarti at Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple Adorns Mahakal with Silver Crown and Garland

On Tuesday morning, the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain performed a Panchamrit puja‑abhiṣeka for Baba Mahakal during the bhasm aarti, after which the deity was embellished with a silver crown, mund mala, trinetra and sun‑moon ornaments.
Ujjain's world‑renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple hosted a bhasm aarti on Tuesday morning, a ritual that involves the sacred ash of the sacred fire. During the ceremony, priests performed a Panchamrit puja‑abhiṣeka, offering a mixture of five holy substances to Baba Mahakal.
Following the abhiṣeka, the deity was dressed in an elaborate set of ornaments. A silver crown was placed on the idol's head, accompanied by a mund mala (necklace) and a trinetra (three‑eyed) emblem. Additional embellishments representing the sun and the moon were also affixed, enhancing the visual splendor of the worship.
