District Administration,Thoubal Distributes Relief Materials to Families Affected by Arson Incident at Khangabok Musical Event Venue
Relief materials were distributed to families whose houses were set on fire during an altercation that took place on the night of October 18 at a musical event venue located at the CYSA Playground, bordering Khangabok and Sangaiyumpham under Thoubal Police Station.
Today, a team led by Thoubal Deputy Commissioner Yumnam Robita (IAS), along with DRDA Thoubal Executive Engineer Somendro and representatives of the JAC, visited the incident site to inspect the situation. They also met with the affected families at the CYSA Club and discussed their grievances and needs. Subsequently, the DC handed over relief items, including edible provisions and blankets.
Speaking on the matter, DC Thoubal Yumnam Robita (IAS) stated that the District Administration is extending this initial assistance as tensions on both sides have somewhat cooled and the winter season is setting in.
She further stated that the materials provided today represent a modest, immediate effort by the District Administration. The government will properly provide relief to the affected parties on both sides after a thorough assessment, and in the meantime, the District Administration has stepped in to address their immediate shortages.
