AP DCA Calls for Centre to Withdraw Sanitiser Licensing Exemption

The exemption, introduced during the COVID‑19 pandemic to boost production, has raised concerns about quality control and regulatory oversight. In a statement released by the state government, the DCA highlighted that the lack of licensing could lead to sub‑standard products reaching consumers. The request comes as part of a broader effort by state officials to tighten regulatory compliance and ensure public safety. The central government has yet to respond to the appeal.
