A 50‑year‑old Patna City Civil Court advocate, Andarjeeb ‘Guddu’, was discovered hanging inside his newly constructed house in Chishti village, Vaishali, after reportedly battling mental stress.

Advocate Andarjeeb, known locally as Guddhu, was found dead by hanging inside the house he had built in Chishti village of Vaishali district, Bihar. The residence, which reportedly cost around 20 lakh rupees to construct, had been partially filled with flood water for several months before his death.

According to relatives, the 50‑year‑old lawyer had been under considerable mental strain in recent months and was undergoing treatment for his condition. They said his health had deteriorated, prompting regular medical consultations.

Local police arrived at the scene after neighbors reported the discovery and have opened a case to determine the exact circumstances of the death. Preliminary observations suggest a possible suicide, but investigators will also examine the role of the prolonged flooding and any other factors that may have contributed.

The Patna City Civil Court has not released an official statement, and the legal fraternity in the region expressed shock at the loss of a peer. Authorities have urged anyone with additional information to come forward as the inquiry proceeds.
