Actor Imran Khan Faces OCI Rule Allegations Over CJP Protest

Police have written to immigration officials to verify the status of actor Imran Khan’s Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card after claims that he violated OCI regulations by participating in a protest organised by the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP). The allegation states that the actor’s presence at the event contravened the conditions attached to OCI holders, which prohibit engagement in political activities abroad. BJP Member of Parliament Kirit Somaiya has publicly expressed concern over the matter and has said he will visit the police station to ensure that a separate First Information Report (FIR) is filed against Khan. Investigations are currently underway as authorities review the evidence and determine whether the OCI rules have indeed been breached. The outcome of the inquiry will dictate any further action against the actor’s OCI status.
